If you are an artist or a designer, you need a portfolio of your works in standard formats, so that you can always deliver it to anyone and be sure that all the files are correctly displayed on any computer. Your works themselves will hardly be suitable for the task, as they are saved in various formats (psd, bmp, jpg, gif, etc.), are of various size, the largest ones are loaded very slowly and the size of all files is really very large. ICP will help you create a convenient portfolio presentation. There are two stages of this process. First, provide your files with names containing information on the source file (size and type). Then, convert these files to make them of one size and type.
Do the following:
Step 1:
- Launch ICP.
Step 2:
- Go to “Photos” tab, select and add images of one type (for example, psd) you want to process.
Step 3:
- Go to “Profiles” tab.
Step 4:
- In “Save images in …. format”, select a format of the source file (psd)
Step 5:
- Specify settings for the format (optimal values are specified by default).
Step 6:
- Specify the folder to save converted images to.
Step 7:
- In “Operations with target file name” line, select the needed format of the file name. Clear the box, press the button located to the right of the line and select “Source image title”. Then, press this button simultaneously and select “Result image type”, “Result image size”, “Result image type”. Then, replace dots in the line with other characters, for example “_” (for more convenience). The resulting name will look like “image_PSD_2880x1290.psd”.
Step 8:
- Specify other settings.
Step 9:
- Press “Start” button to start conversion.
Step 10:
- Then, go to “Photos” tab, select and add your works of some other format (for example, bmp).
Step 11:
- Repeat steps 3 – 9 for all file types in your portfolio (change the format according to step 4).
Step 12:
- Now, go to “Photos” tab, select and add files you’ve just created.
Step 13:
- Go to “Profiles” tab, press New button.
Step 14:
- Click “Add operation” in “Operation before save: Add operation” line and select “Resize”.
Step 15:
- Click “+” mark located to the left from “Add operation” line to open the group of settings for added operations.
Step 16:
- In “Resize”, set the value of “Pixel Dimensions” to the needed size (It shouldn’t be large, but all details of the photos should be visible, for example, 800×600).
Step 17:
- In “Save images in …. format”, select Jpeg format.
Step 18:
- Specify settings for the format (optimal values are specified by default).
Step 19:
- Specify the folder to save converted images to.
Step 20:
- Specify other settings.
Step 21:
- Press “Start” button to start conversion.
