If you have drafts or charts of nonstandard color (for example, screenshots from special purpose software like Pcad, which displays color drafts on black background), and you want to standardize them (create black drafts on white background), you can do it at once with the help of Image Converter Plus.
Do the following:
Step 1:
- Launch Image Converter Plus.
Step 2:
- Go to “Photos” tab, select and add drafts you want to process.
Step 3:
- Go to Profiles tab. In “Operation before save: Add operation” line, click “Add operation” and select “Color Effects” from the menu.
Step 4:
- If you have light drafts on dark background, repeat step 3 once again.
Step 5:
- Click once again and select “Replace Color” from the menu.
Step 6:
- Repeat step 4 once again.
Step 7:
- Click “+” mark located to the left from “Add operation” line to open the group of settings for added operations.
Step 8:
- In “Color Effects”, select “Grayscale” effect in “Apply : Effect” line.
Step 9:
- In the second instance of “Color Effects” (if it exists), select “Negative” effect in “Apply : Effect” line.
Step 10:
- In the first instance of “Replace Color”, select “black” and “black” in “Replace color : with color :” line. In “with tolerance : %” line, enter a value from 60 to 70 (the value should be selected empirically). Disable “smoothing” checkbox.
Step 11:
- In the second instance of “Replace Color”, select “white” and “white” in “Replace color : with color :” line. In “with tolerance : %” line, enter a value from 30 to 50 (the value should be selected empirically). Disable “smoothing” checkbox.
Step 12:
- In “Converted images will be saved to”, select GIF format, which is the most suitable one for this case (it will also dramatically reduce size of your drafts)
Step 13:
- In “With : colors”, select “2”.
Step 14:
- Specify other settings for the output format (optimal values are specified by default).
Step 15:
- Specify the folder to save converted images to.
Step 16:
- Specify other settings.
Step 17:
- Press “Start” button to start conversion.
